Soft Autumn Characteristic
Soft Autum is a warm season, but also muted. Soft Autumn skin, eye and hair colours blend together meaning there is low contrast between them. Your eyes are green, light hazel or light brown. Your skin is neutral or neutral – warm with a hint of yellow undertones. Your hair has ashy tones ranges from strawberry blonde over golden blonde to medium golden brown.

Differences between Autumn Color Types
What makes the Soft Autumn type different from other Autumns? If you look at the image below, you can see that the most important aspect of the Soft Autumn is softness. Its colors are muted and less warm than the Warm Autumn. Compared to the Dark Autumn, the defining factor is lightness and contrast, as the colors of the Soft Autumn are medium dark and less dominated by depth.
Soft Autumn vs Soft Summer
Soft Autumn and Soft Summer are both muted, low-contrast color seasons, but they differ in undertone.
- Soft Autumn is warm, muted, and earthy, featuring shades such as khaki, moss green, terracotta, warm rose and light camel.
- Soft Summer is cool, muted, and understated, with colors like dusty blue, mauve, soft rose, sage, and taupe grey.
In short: Both palettes favor soft, subdued colors, but Soft Autumn leans warm and earthy, while Soft Summer leans cool and smoky.
The key distinction: warm vs. cool undertones. Soft Autumn looks best in warm, golden-based muted colors, whereas Soft Summer is flattered by cool, blue-based muted shades.

You don’t need heavy makeup to be beautiful! The best makeup of the Soft Autumn color type is delicate, dusty and sophisticated. For natural makeup, you can combine a nude lipstick with subtly smoky eye makeup and a little bronzer. It also works if you use slightly sheen, subtle colors. Soft Autumn evokes the lazy, scattered sunshine just before the golden glow of late afternoon. We have reached the time of dusty, delicately bronze earth tones. Low saturation lends an old-fashioned, vintage feel to the color palette. Any brightness or sharpness crushes these subtle shades – so there’s no room for black or white here. Brown is at the heart of the palette. Soft Autumn is brought to life by the delicate, warm colors.
Soft Autumn Neutral Colors
Your wonderful neutral colors are yellowish whites, sand beiges, taupe browns, khakis and dark blues. The closest colors to black are dark cedar browns and dark taupe greys.

The best colors of Soft Autumn are dusty roses, marsala and pear red, dusty blues, and sage and khaki greens.

Soft Autumn Wardrobe Palette
Beige, khaki and denim are a good starting point for building your wardrobe because these colors are usually easy to find in stores. If possible, do not use too much black. Look for soft, earthy colors: old rose, redwood, sage and kale green, dusty riverside blue.

Can I only wear these colors?
Not at all! Wear what you love! You can choose from the colors of the sister palettes (Soft Summer and Warm Autumn). However, if you want to wear a bright color like hot pink, you can do that too. It’s not your colors, but the most important thing is confidence!
Should I avoid black?
Black and cool, bright colors aren’t the best for the Soft Autumn, but you can also wear them, preferably combined with a warm and soft shade. Try to wear your own colors around your face.
I hate these colors, maybe that’s not my color type?
Yes, it is absolutely possible! Many of us are naturally attracted to our own colors, but this is not true for everyone. You may want to think about what you don’t like about your color palette. Soft or warm colors? Or do you reject a color family (brown, rose)? Don’t wear them! Just because your palette includes these colors doesn’t mean you have to wear them all. Personalize your color palette and wear only the shades you love!

Transform your wardrobe step by step! I know we’re different, but I suggest you don’t rush. Your current wardrobe also took a lot of time and money to build. Get the most out of it!
