Warm Autumn Make-up
Warm Autumn faces are topaz-tawny, so bronzer captures this quality beautifully. Keep blush well in the range of warm rose, golden sand, brick and muted corals. A little light-handed contouring adds nice dimension. Avoid glossy, shiny or wet looks.

Have you recently discovered that you are a Warm Autumn?
How to start your new make-up routine
1. Review your current make-up kit!
You don’t necessarily have to replace everything right away. Compare your existing products with the colors of the Warm Autumn make-up palette. If you scroll down, you will find the palettes by product type. What is quite similar can remain. One thing you should definitely get rid of is black eyeliner.
2. Choosing the right shades
The most important thing is the right shade of foundation that matches your skin tone. It is worth spending more time on this and trying it out in person.
You have countless options when it comes to blushes and lipsticks. If you don’t have warm nude lipstick and terracotta blush in your current make-up kit, put it at the top of your shopping list. For eye makeup, get a warm brown eyeshadow palette and brown mascara.
In drugstores, you can usually find Autumn shades all year round.
It’s still worth the effort to find the best products because the change will be immediately noticeable. Warm Autumn is significantly aged by makeup that does not match the color type.
If you need more help, we recommend our bestselling beauty book with 100+ specific products, shade names, and more.
3. Trying new make-up looks
Since many people use makeup to express their personality, don’t feel limited. Your makeup can be natural or colorful, feel free to use your palette! What we don’t recommend is black smoky eye make-up look and cool pink lipsticks. Instead, use a warm brown eyeshadow look, eyeliner. Warm red lipsticks and terracotta blushes look great, but you can also use bronzers. What does not match are pastel pinks, cool fuchsia pinks, but try not to focus on what is on the “no list”. You have beautiful colors in your makeup palette, use them!

Warm Autumn Foundations
Generally, Warm Autumn skin can be fair to dark shade. The skin has obvious warm undertones, bronzy/golden tinge and possibly olive undertones. However, people of color can have very dark, deep skin and still be Warm Autumn. As a Warm Autumn, look for warm (W), warm-neutral (WN) or olive (O, W) shades. In the long run, don’t overthink it – the final deciding factor is to try the foundation on your face and check the results in daylight to see how it looks.

Warm Autumn Blush
Look for a blush that best matches the colors of your natural glow and highlights your bronzy appearance. You can choose any color from your make-up palette, but it is best to coordinate the color of the blush with your lipstick.

Warm Autumn best blush shades:
- warm roses
- coral and peach (natural, not bright)
- bronze and soft brown
- terracotta and rusty orange
- henna red
The colors of Warm Autumn are warmer than the other two Autumn palettes. It may be surprising, but due to warm glow, coral and peach blushes are also recommended. Be careful not to choose a coral pink or overly saturated color, but rather one with a rusty orange effect.

Warm Autumn Lipsticks
Warm nude and burnt sienna shades are your everyday colors. You can try maple, warm rose and soft coral/salmon tones too. We recommend brick reds, terra oranges and mahogany reds from your bold color palette. Choose a matt or satin finish.

Warm Autumn best lipstick shades:
- warm nudes and caramel
- desert roses and red
- orange red
- wine and brown red
- burnished coral
Keep in mind that the perfect shades vary from person to person, even within your color type. It depends on your hue, value, and chroma on an individual level. However, your color palette will help you narrow down your options and make your shopping experience easier!

Warm Autumn Mature Skin Make-up
The Warm Autumn color type is lucky because warm nude makeup look is timeless.
The contrast can be reduced by greying or white hair, however, it is not recommended to change the color palette. It is possible that you felt the vibe of pop of colors more when you were younger (but your own colors will always look great on you!), many people prefer neutral colors as they get older. It’s totally up to you.

Since you have a warm color type, rusty and earthy colors look good on you. Choose burnt coral or maroon shades, but sophisticated nude and brown colors also look great. Olive green and orange red are some of your best pop of colors!

Warm Autumn best nail polish shades:
- warm nude
- bronze, gold
- burnt orange, terracotta
- maroon, orange red
- olive green, warm teal blue

Warm Autumn Hair Colors
When choosing color for your hair, there are many factors to consider. But the goal is to pick a shade that best accentuates your natural features. Warm Autumn season’s hair is warm and golden. It can range from dark chocolate and chestnut brown to warm honey.
Blonde might present in caramel highlights or sun-bleached tips. Red is common and usually appears in variations of auburn, copper or russet.

If you want to dye your hair, the key is to consider your natural depth and keep the color warm. But don’t forget, your own warm brown/red hair color emphasizes your beauty wonderfully.

Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t like my beauty color palette, what should I do?
I am convinced that color type analysis benefits everyone. But by using its rules, makeup and dressing should be easier, bring joy, not restrict and stress. There are different personalities, we relate to colors and makeup differently. Someone is more rule-following, someone is more rebellious. If you feel like wearing a heavy, black smoky eye with hot pink lipstick, do it. However, it is worth knowing that this does not suit you best.
The color palette of Warm Autumn and the makeup colors are both warm and earthy. If you are averse to these colors, there are still plenty of neutral/bright options. You can wear dark neutral brown eye makeup and choose a brighter or darker color from your lipstick palette.
Should I avoid black?
Yes, black is one of the colors you should avoid the most. It creates too much contrast on the face and makes you look older. Instead, choose dark chocolate brown for eye makeup.
Can I use glossy products?
Shiny, shimmer finishes are very trendy right now. Autumn types tend to prefer matte, slightly satin finishes, but as long as the shade is right for you, you can use them. Make sure your foundation is as matte or natural as possible and only have a glossy lipstick or blush. Don’t let both be high-shine.
Can I wear red lipstick?
Absolutely! But when choosing a specific shade, keep in mind that bright, classic blue reds are not the best for Warm Autumn. Choose maroon red, or orange red shade. But you can also experiment with mahogany, vintage red and wine red shades.
What hair color should I choose?
If you don’t like your natural hair color and want to change it, be careful not to choose a color that is too cool or too bright. From golden blonde/red to dark brown, a variety of colors can work well. The exact shade that will work best depends on your individual characteristics and your starting hair color.
